Citation and Documentation (Topic for Presentation)

  • Students face severe consequences when they plagarise even if it was not intentional .
  • To be safe we should always recheck our sources and in-text citations.
  • When we use other author's work it is very important to cite the source.
  • We should give credit to the person whose work we are using in order to prevent ourselves from plagarising.
  • There are various styles of documentation/citation. Popular ones are  MLA, APA, chicago and many more.
  • MLA citaion format for the Work Cited page:
 Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication.
        Medium of  Publication.

  • In-text Citation format: " Sentence from other author" (Last Name of the author, page number).
